Saturday the 12th the successful Deaf Olympic karate team returned home.
Mike won gold in the +84 kg male kumite and Kerry won bronze in the female kumite.
These are the first medals for NZ at the deaf olympics since 1989, Mike won two bronze in swimming then, some other medals were won in 1989 as well, fingers crossed we still have a cyclist, , swimmer and table tennis table player to go. 4200 competitors at this olympics.
